From conceptualizing new product designs to implementing same-day shipping in our distribution centers, we strive to streamline every step of the ordering and shipping process.
The shipping clerk is responsible for verifying order contents, boxing orders, confirming correct recipient and shipping method, and segregating orders based on assigned carrier. Additional ad-hoc duties may be required to help facilitate an efficient operation of the department. Must have computer knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with Company policies and guidelines, as well as regulatory requirements
- Receive picked orders and verify accuracy of picked items
- Count, weigh, or measure items as necessary
- Pack orders for timely delivery using most efficient box types
- Shrink wrap freight pallets as needed
- Match orders to correct shipments within ShipHero
- Print shipping labels from ShipHero and compare order information on label to packing slip
- Confirm correct shipping method and ensure any manual updates to shipping method are applied
- Ensure packed orders are segregated appropriately based on carrier
- Load carrier trucks using pallet jack
- Report to Management regularly, keeping them updated on production activities and progress
- Maintain shipping log
- Monitor inventory, cleanliness of assigned area
- Maintain a safe and clean work space
- Pick orders using Scanner and ensure description/quantities match
- Ad-hoc warehouse duties as requested
